What is the Lake Constance Campus?
Situated on a generously sized sports field site only a hundred metres from the lake, our Lake Constance Campus provides the ideal setting for learning that’s fun, fantastic leisure activities and unforgettable holidays with friends from all over the world. The campus consists of about ten professionally equipped tents. Language instruction and the afternoon activities take place in these modern learning tents. The big events tent provides space for the communal lunch and evening activities, and also serves as an alternative location in bad weather.
After an initial assessment, the young people are divided into their attainment levels and taught in small classes with a maximum of 11 students. We offer at least five different levels. Our courses aim above all to improve the students’ practical language skills. For this reason, theoretical instruction in German grammar is limited to an essential minimum. The interesting and varied language sessions are devised by young, motivated teachers, who are all native speakers.
English courses for young people, mainly from Germany, will be taking place on the campus at the same time. As these two groups take part in the activities together, there is on the one hand the unique chance of being in constant contact with young native German speakers, and on the other the possibility of practising the second language learned (English).
Our students will find that all information, from the menus to all the route directions, is in both the languages learned. Our entire campus team communicates with and informs our young guests in German and English
The accommodation is located between the beautiful Lindau Island and the Lake Constance Campus.
The international youth hostel has modern four-bed rooms, in which we accommodate students of different nationalities. The youth hostel also has many leisure activities available, such as beach volleyball, games rooms and an in-house young people’s disco for the evenings.
The Lindau city bus takes care of the transfer to the Lake Constance Campus 3 km away.
The trip takes around 10 minutes and the cost of the bus tickets are included in the course fees.
Support: Our trained employees are on site round the clock to support the students (24-hour service).
Summer Camp Leisure Programme
The campus, the lake, the island city of Lindau and the exciting destinations for our excursions in this region where three countries meet guarantee the ideal combination for unforgettable language holidays. The support staff will devise an extensive and varied programme: sporty, leisurely, creative, interesting…and will also be both guide and contact partner for any questions. Every week the school organises one half-day excursion, whole day excursions or activities at the weekends, daily leisure programme.
