Lessons are always held in the mornings, Monday to Friday. If you want to kick start your French language learning with an immersion course in Bordeaux, this programme is ideal. Course objectives include the practice of spoken French in communicative situations and a cultural approach to the language, the development of linguistic proficiency (written and oral expression / written and oral comprehension / interpersonal communication) and the use of communicative methods combining individual development and group dynamics (group work, role plays, etc.)

The college guides will ensure you see some of the better known attractions such as the Modern Art Museum, Arcachon Bay and the Dune du Pyla (the highest sand dune in Europe), St Emilion vineyard and old Bordeaux. Every two weekends (in winter, once every 4 weekends) they offer a full-day excursion. In addition, the college arranges cheese and/or wine tasting’s, college parties and evenings out in local restaurants and cookery lessons (at additional cost).
Students are asked to take an assessment test before course placement.
09.30 hrs: First day lessons start
The school in Bordeaux mainly caters for students aged 20 yrs + and regularly attracts mature students. This is a small, friendly school centrally located in the city. Please note that the school will have younger students present.
Bordeaux is a large city, so please allow for a commute of approx. 20 to 40 mins to college each morning. Students can stay with local French hosts, single room, B&B or half-board. The school can also recommend local Hotels or Studio apartments on request.
Arrive: Sunday PM
Depart: Saturday PM
Travel direct to Bordeaux by train or plane.
You can then take the transfer service or alternatively a taxi or tram to your accommodation.
