Salamanca offers a great course for beginner to low intermediate level students, of all ages (especially language students in their late teens and twenties) who want to learn Spanish, in a small friendly school, in the heart of the city.
Salamanca is a vibrant, cultured and lively town. Half its population are University students which makes it an appealing destination for long term students. The Spanish language school offers shared student flats and Spanish host accommodation and the language school is close to the Plaza Mayor, the social centre of Salamanca which appeals to everyone, but especially younger students.
The Spanish Gap Year language course ensures rapid acquisition and long-term retention of key Spanish language skills and also covers a range of topics on modern day Spain (cultural, social and economic). Oral and written Spanish language skills are developed and enhanced through out these long term courses. This Spanish language programme is aimed at Beginners to Low Intermediate abilities, who want to see serious linguistic improvement and are aiming to achieve fluency over a number of months.
Classes are then held from Monday to Friday each week and the Spanish language school is open throughout the year. Once you have successfully completed your course you will receive a college certificate attesting to your level of Spanish language proficiency, this will include the duration of course attended.
Some people study Spanish for self-enrichment or want to know how to tell the time or talk on the phone in Spanish or to satisfy short term language requirements in high school, college, university or career goals. Others however, such as university or Gap students, aspiring teachers, translators or others with long term career goals, study the language as part of a formal training programme. For this latter group of students, formally proving competency in the language is a requirement and this is where the DELE Exams are of great value.
