October Over 50 Course Nerja

David
2 weeks Spanish course in Nerja
On the Over 50 programme

Just to let you know my thoughts on the Spanish course for over-50s in Nerja, from 16th – 27th October.

I enjoyed the course very much and found all the teachers and staff friendly and helpful. On the first morning, they assessed each students ability and split us into four groups based on our level. I was in a group of five people in a class for level B1.2 (the class size rose to seven on the 2nd week). The tutor for our class was Francisco Naranjo and he made the classes interesting and entertaining.

I attended and enjoyed most of the cultural activities that were included with the course. In retrospect, I’m surprised that the activities do not include a visit to the Nerja Caves although I was able to do that on the free Sunday of my time there.

I stayed in one of the standard rooms in the school’s residence and found it comfortable and spacious enough for me. The only slight issue was the water pressure for washing and showering at the peak period in the hour before breakfast when the flow of water would quickly slow to a trickle or stop altogether, but after the first morning I avoided showering at that time of day and found no problems at other times of day.

Nerja itself was pleasant and the weather was hotter than normal for the time of year. I don’t usually do beach holidays and there were too many tourists for my taste so although I’d be happy to attend another course at the school I will probably try a different location next time.

I was happy with CESA’s involvement in organising my course and would consider booking through you again.
