Italian Course in Venice

Learn Italian in ItalyJustyna Paszkiewicz
2 wks Standard Course

I expected to consolidate my knowledge of Italian and to improve it, especially the spoken language. I also wanted to integrate myself into the Italian culture and to have many opportunities to use my newly learnt language skills.

All of my expectations were met!

I thought the Italian lessons were brilliant, I really liked that there was a big focus on speaking the Italian language and for me the work load was just right. I though that all the teachers I came across were very good, determined to meet individual needs as well as needs of the class as a whole.

I thought that all the staff were very approachable, there was a very friendly atmosphere at the Italian language school in Venice.

The language school’s situation in Venice was ideal, in a studenty area, close to the tourist trail but at the same time not far from the attractions.

One of the best parts was being able to meet other Italian language learners from all over the world and finding that we could communicate with each other in Italian.

I though that the balance between lessons and free time was very good, and it seemed to work well for students across all Italian language courses. I thoroughly enjoyed the social activities offered by the school and found the evening walks around Venice very informative.  Liked the fact the school had its own area reserved on the Lido.

Venice was definitely a good place to study and live in, there was plenty to do during the day and the social life in the evening was thoroughly enjoyable, it was really nice to sit outside in a campo with a spritz and soak up the atmosphere. I would recommend the roof top terrace of the Hilton Hotel, beautiful views at sunset during happy hour on a Saturday. I always felt safe walking around, even in the evenings.

Aside from the accommodation being expensive for someone on a student budget, I was delighted by the accommodation. The flat was ideally situated; the hosts were very welcoming and took me on a short tour of Venice the day I arrived, which I thought was lovely. Living with Italians meant I got plenty of opportunities to practice speaking the language, which was very helpful.

I am extremely happy I came across CESA online. I was very impressed with all the organisation, and thanks to the information pack sent out by CESA I felt well prepared before setting off to Venice.  I would go again like a shot and would recommend the Italian course to everyone who wants to learn or improve their Italian.
