Spanish for the Over 50s

Spanish for the Over 50s
Two weeks in Nerja
The Spanish language course in Nerja was excellent – lots of conversation about topics which the five of us found interesting (e.g. different customs and habits of the Swiss, Germans, Spanish with me representing the UK) and which our teacher Marion also learnt from – in particular the process of making compost which seems rare in Spanish households.
As a group we gelled together very quickly and we have kept in touch after our return home.
We had a varied programme;
Latin American and Spanish films,
trips led by knowledgeable and enthusiastic guides,
2 lectures,
a fantastic enormous paella cooking session – to which everyone contributed,
& a visit to the stunning local caves etc.
The college residence in Nerja is a comfortable and well equipped place in which to stay and the staff are all friendly and patient with one’s attempts in Spanish.
Nerja is a good place to walk around with very many different places to eat – altogether a marvellous experience and an excellent way in which to improve one’s Spanish.
