French Summer School in Antibes
Katy Heinemann : French teenage Course : 1 wk
I expected everyone at the Summer School to be fluent French speaking (don’t know why, nerves I guess), and the language students to be less international than they were. I also expected far less people at the campus.
In reality – the lessons worked for me, I thought they were fun and found that I enjoyed participating in class discussions, rather than always doing worksheets as in the UK.
I thought the school was good; it had a swimming pool (above ground) and lots of space for the students to relax and chill out in and as the bedrooms were all on the same site there was no commuting in the mornings to classes.
I thought Antibes was a great place to stay – because the beach and the town were very close and it took very little to get there. The town was safe and very pretty, with nice shops. I had a good social life with the other students at the French language college.
The staff at the French language school were good because they were young and were always available to help and entertain us.
I look forward to coming again!
I would recommend others to go to Antibes and I would love to go again. The memorable experiences of the French trip for me were making friends (so many!) and discovering the town (so nice!).
