French Summer School in Cannes
Nicole Mills: 4 wks in Cannes
The college definitely met and in fact in so many ways exceeded my expectations and I would have stayed all summer if I could.
I think the French language classes were really well done. Everyone in the class was at the same level and the teacher was very kind and understanding with any questions asked.
The French language school was amazing. The college residence was better than any other student accommodation I have seen. It was a short walk to the town which was great. I felt very safe there and the security at night was excellent.
Thinking about it the only bad part of the experience was getting up early in the morning! But it had to be done. The best parts were relaxing in the sun and going out at night in Cannes.
I found that having half-board accommodation suited me really well, that the panini’s etc available in the college were fantastic. The majority of students in the college were older than me, so it forced me to be more mature which was a good thing. I have no complaints and had the time of my life!
I found the local people in Cannes would always speak to you in French which even if you struggled was good for your language skills: I found eating in Cannes very expensive, but there was always food available in the college and for me it was perfect.
I would absolutely go again. I had one of the best experiences of my life, studying French in a language school in Cannes with CESA – I never would have believed it possible, before the course. The memories are never ending but just hanging around the court yard and the beach was fantastic fun and the whole thing was hugely enjoyable.
I couldn’t complain about any part of CESA’s organisation, everything worked out perfectly!
