Spanish and beach life in San Sebastian
Emily
12 week Spanish course
San Sebastian, Spain
!Hola!
I´ve spent one month (at the Spanish language school in San Sebastian) here already, as you know, and unfortunately it has taken me one month to touch base with you and to let you know how things are going.
Kind of hit the ground running but it in a good way. My stay with the host family was great. The family were very nice and I was sad to leave them. But also happy for when Jo arrived and we moved into the apartment. We are living with the owner and she is very nice. Anyway, I´m sure Jo has informed you of most of the information going on here, but I just wanted to say thank you very much for organising this for me I am having a great time. And for the first time in a while, the weather is fantastic!
Anyway, I must dash as class has started, ha ha. Thanks again.
Emily – update
It´s summer now and the weather is wonderful.
In my free time, apart from studying, I´ve been on a hike with friends and simply just experiencing the Spanish-Basque culture. But it´s the beach where I´ve been spending most of my time. After school everyday, we all head straight to the beach. Some surf and others play vollyball. Jo and I are heading to Barcelona this weekend and then after that I have one more week left!! I am very sad. I don´t want to leave. Especially now that summer has hit.
Classes are a lot of fun. A lot of studying to do though. But mainly, I am enjoying myself!
