When planning to start learning Spanish again, (which I’d not studied since GCSEs) I knew it would be best to start right from the beginning.

Within my first three weeks as a student in the language school in Salamanca it became increasingly hard to leave (which really squashed my plans to go travelling in South America after my course), the relaxed friendly working environment in a great city, with great people.

Seven and a half months later I was still there, not only had my Spanish improved monumentally I had made lifelong friends not only with students but the whole school community. Not being a natural linguist I was really nervous about sitting the DELE exam.

Salamanca and and the language school really MADE my Gap Year AND I passed the DELE!
