Spanish language classes in Buenos Aires

Everyone loves Tango in Buenos AiresGeorge Dodds-Smith : 2 weeks in Buenos Aires.

I was looking for an intensive Spanish language course that would get me speaking a fair bit of Spanish in just two weeks and I was hoping for a good place to meet other people.  Great result for me, in both categories!

The lessons at the Spanish language school in Buenos Aires worked for me.  Well presented, good student/teacher interaction and a great vibe in the school.  Loved the location – nice and central in a good area of the city.

There were a range of different classes running, ensuring every-one’s language needs were met, whatever their level/ability by the Spanish language courses on offer.  The best part of it all for me was the out of class activities.  It might have been better for me if the morning classes had started later in the day (wrestling with the intricacies of the Spanish language after a late night out in BA wasn’t good for my brain)!  However the late night meals in restaurants various with the other students and the salsa and tango nights were just too good to miss….

The apartment I stayed in was nice, but quite far from the college.  I would recommend trying for a place in Palermo/Recoleta if you can.  The earlier you book, the better your chances.

Overall the college staff in Buenos Aires were terrific, amazingly friendly and helpful especially when it came to organising things such as football matches, salsa evenings etc.  The CESA staff in the UK were great too, made it all easy and always ready to answer any questions.

Anyone wanting to work on their Spanish should definitely consider Buenos Aires.  It’s a terrific place to go for 2 weeks (wish it could have been longer), with an amazing culture and so much to see and do, and the Spanish language school is certainly a great place to study.
