Improve your German on an immersion course in Munich, staying in an on-site residence only for teenagers. CESA students love living in Munich & exploring this vibrant city. It is perfect for high school students wishing to improve their German who would prefer to live in a self-contained study environment. In total there are 40 lessons over 2 weeks (unless a day is lost to a public holiday). This is equal to a term of contact lessons at your school in the UK. Small classes, native speakers, interesting material and a pleasant learning atmosphere all contribute to the learning process. The emphasis is on the active use of language in real situations. You learn German and after class you get to explore Munich with other teenagers from all over the world.
The course is academically demanding course and aims to stimulate student interest and keep the lessons dynamic. Optional social activities provide contrast and bring an additional element of fun to the overall programme. The German language college staff are aware that the students are on holiday and will do all they can to help students enjoy their German experience, both in and outside the classroom.

Accommodation
Students live on site in 4 to 5-bedded rooms with shower and WCs off the corridor and are provided with wifi, laundry service, full board in the castle cafeteria.
You will be living and learning German in the castle – Burg Schwaneck. The castle was built in 1843 and has been carefully restored to modern standards to serve as an educational institution. The castle is within easy reach of the centre of Munich, just 10 km south of the city centre (15-minute train ride to city centre), in a wealthy residential district, surrounded by a huge park, right next to River Isar.
Facilities: The castle houses spacious classrooms with a historical touch; bedrooms, the knights´ hall, a lounge, bowling, billiards, a playground in the park, table tennis and a cafeteria.

Fly to Munich and you can book the additional return transfer service from the airport, the Hauptbahnhof or main bus station.
Going Out Permission
Going out in Munich – the college group leaders will accompany you and show you many of the sights of the city. With parental permission students can leave the premises for a couple of hours or go shopping when in Munich, when in the city with a group leader. Curfew on site: 22.00hrs |
