First day of Camp: Sunday 29th June 2025
Last day of Camp: Sunday 10th August 2025
In total there are 40 lessons over 2 weeks (unless a day is lost to a public holiday). This is equal to a term of contact lessons at your school in the UK. Small classes, native speakers, interesting material and a pleasant learning atmosphere all contribute to the learning process. The emphasis is on the active use of language in real situations. You learn German and after class you get to explore Berlin with other teenagers from all over the world.
The course is academically demanding course and aims to stimulate student interest and keep the lessons dynamic. Optional social activities provide contrast and bring an additional element of fun to the overall programme.
The German language college staff are aware that the students are on holiday and will do all they can to help students enjoy their German experience, both in and outside the classroom.
The camp is located in the western centre of Berlin, with Metro Fehrbelliner Platz right round the corner. The famous shopping boulevard Kurfürstendamm is a 15 minute walk away. The camp is located in a beautiful villa with tree-lined garden, several spacious classrooms (some have a balcony or direct access to the garden). There is also a lounge and cafeteria. Members of staff will also be accommodated at the residence so that there is always a responsible adult on hand day or night.

Going Out PermissionGerman law dictates that teenagers aged 16/17 years old are not allowed out after 23.30 hrs during the week, and 24.00 hrs Friday/Saturday night, on this course unless accompanied by group leaders. As it is located in the city centre, students are able to go into Berlin unsupervised in the evening, though the staff will encourage them to go in pairs or small groups. If you want greater freedom, please consider the City programme, or greater supervision look at the Berlin 14/17yrs programme. |
