In-depth study over an extended period ensures better mastery, subtler understanding and far greater long-term retention of key skills. These long-term French courses allow students to focus on all aspects of the French language over several months, whilst placing the language within a meaningful cultural framework.
The French Gap Year language course ensures rapid acquisition and long-term retention of key French language skills and also covers a range of topics on modern day France (cultural, social and economic).
Oral and written French language skills are developed and enhanced throughout these long term courses. This French language programme is aimed at Beginners to Low Intermediate abilities, who want to see serious linguistic improvement and are aiming to achieve fluency over a number of months.
All the teachers, whose native tongue is always French, are fully qualified and experienced in teaching French as a foreign language.
Classes are then held from Monday to Friday each week. The college is closed for the Christmas and Easter holiday period, however accommodation can be reserved for students (and then has to be paid for) over these periods if applicable to your programme dates. Once you have successfully completed your course you will receive a college certificate attesting to your level of French language proficiency, this will include the duration of course attended.

If French courses extend over Christmas you will need to book accommodation at additional cost, over the holiday period.
Do you speak French? So prove it! Some people study French for pleasure alone or have short term language goals. However for some university or Gap Year students, aspiring teachers etc. formally proving competency in the French language is important and the DELF Exams beneficial.
Students can live with local hosts, a superb chance to experience daily French life, and practise your French out of class with native French speakers. Alternatively the school offers student residence accommodation within walking distance of the school.
