The Canto and Diction for Singers course consists of 5 lessons of private tuition in singing (no piano accompaniment).

The Canto and Diction for Singers course + coaching consists of 5 lessons of private tuition in singing plus 2 lessons accompanied on the piano.

The courses also concentrate on improving Italian diction.

Tuition: 3 levels of ability
– Beginner = up to two years study
– Intermediate = from two to five years study
– Expert = over five years study

Duration: 2 weeks
Singing lesson: 60 mins
Italian lesson: 45 mins
Italian level: All levels accepted, ideally students should have intermediate+ Italian
Location: Held in a Music College, just 5 minutes walk from the language school
On enrolment: Please confirm if you are a professional singer, an opera singer or an amateur and your current level (also whether you have specific repertoire requirements)

Italian and Opera Training: Florence

  • Open to 16 yrs + age group
  • 20 group Italian lessons per week
  • + 10 private Italian lessons per week
  • Max. 12 people per Italian group class

In the private lessons students are given a detailed explanation of the professional language and culture surrounding the world of Opera. A short term Italian language course aimed at those who want the combined learning experience of the camaraderie of the group course and the individual attention of the private classes with a personal tutor.

Duration: 2 weeks
Italian lesson: 45 mins
Italian level: Students should have intermediate+ Italian
NB: Students below intermediate level, must attend an Italian Standard/Languages for Life course before enrolling on this course.
