German and Skiing: Kitzbühel

Get on the slopes after a morning of German lessons!

Improve your German language skills and then ski or snow board in Kitzbühel, Austria

• Open to 18 yrs + age group on set start dates
• 1 week+ language course duration
• Max. 06 people per group class
• plus ski in the afternoons and at the weekend (skiing may be moved to the morning, depending on snow conditions)
• NB: No beginners accepted on these programmes

With an emphasis on conversation, the small classes in the mornings mean you make above average progress in producing the German you know and improve at a very rapid rate. The afternoon skiing, often accompanied by a teacher from the school, gets you out on the slopes in the fresh air, speaking German on the ski lifts.

• 4 x 45 minute German lessons for groups of 3 or more students, from 9:00 in the morning to 12:15 hrs
• 3 x 45 minute German lessons for groups of 2 students
• 2 x 45 minute German lessons for individual courses

Whilst students generally ski in the afternoons in Kitzbühel, this may sometimes change, depending on the local weather conditions to morning skiing and afternoon language lessons.

Students arrange ski hire and passes on the Monday afternoon and generally ski every afternoon.  Some stop for a late lunch after an hour’s skiing, others will just ski all afternoon (it really is up to you).

Ski lessons can be arranged if required, but most students enjoy free skiing as individuals or with other college students.  College staff will help anyone sorting out skis and boots etc on their first day and are happy to answer any questions regarding the best slopes given the current snow conditions.

Cut costs by taking your own skis – the airport taxis are used to passengers with a lot of luggage!

Accommodation:
Offering single or shared room (for friends or couples) on a Bed and Breakfast basis.

The 2* Pension also has self catering facilities (fairly simple kitchen facilities).

The 3* Pension prices vary according to the room and season required.

Rooms become fully occupied during the Ski season, so early bookings recommended for this period.
