Activities

Students are encouraged to make the most of their time in Aix-en-Provence by participating in the guided excursions and activities offered by the French language school, to all the language students, but there is no specific social programme for older students.
In Aix you can combine French language tuition with a range of activities; hiking, painting, golf, horse riding or wine appreciation (see the main Aix-en-Provence page or the CESA Course Finder above).

First Day

Students will be tested on Monday morning. They will be given a range of college/course information and taken on a guided town tour. They will then take their first lessons on Monday afternoon (14.00 to 15.30 hrs). The normal timetable will begin on the second day of school.

Practical Information

The courses are officially open to all adults aged 18 years up, however most of the students who study in Aix-en-Provence, are in their 30s or older.  There will be some younger students in the Summer period, or indeed throughout the year, but we always recommend this programme to mature adults year round.

Accommodation

Students can choose to live with local French hosts (private household accommodation) or in the summer in local Student residence or on a year round basis in local Hotels or private studios. Accommodation is in high demand over the summer months, so early bookings are strongly recommended for June, July and August (or you could miss out!).
