I had a great time at my German language course in Berlin. The teachers were very professional, the other students in my class were on the same language level as I was and the school and CESA were quick and helpful. Great course and great service.

I enjoyed the language course and especially the painting course, a lot. It was a very nice way to spend the afternoons and practice some additional French and the teacher was very kind too 🙂

I thought it was a good course and am very glad I went. The standard of teaching was very high and there was a good atmosphere in classes. I didn’t meet as many Germans as I would have liked, but did enjoy meeting people from all over the world. I think staying in the course […]

I felt the standard of teaching was very high and the general vibe of the campus was excellent. The lessons were a good mix of grammar and practice. The teachers encouraged speaking and discussion as much as possible. The only problem I found was that the difference between the best and worst students in the […]

I hadn’t studied German after A-level and upon completing my Physics Degree wanted to improve my German, mainly for personal satisfaction. It will also help to have it on my CV. The classes were enthusiastically taught and quite a lot of homework was given, encouraging me to work on my language skills outside of the […]

I spent two weeks at the German language school in Berlin and had an amazing time! The course itself focuses on immersion so you are constantly required to interact in German which can be initially quite full on but I really felt it helped me develop my language skills. All the teachers are really approachable […]

My expectations were far surpassed! If I’m honest, I expected to refresh my German, mainly through speaking, to do some grammar but no literature and to be taught in quite a large group. I also expected some organised (probably boring) afternoon activities. The classes were far better than I expected and even the German school […]

I was hoping to learn some basics and make some friends in the class to spend time with sightseeing/socialising when not in class. My trip really exceeded by expectations : ) The lessons were brilliant, much better than German language lessons I remember from Secondary School. A lot was covered in a week, but I […]

As I was an absolute beginner, I was looking forward to a challenging, perhaps difficult, but interesting course, to meet students from different cultures and backgrounds also to visit many areas within the locality. It was all good! The German language course was very interesting, difficult at times of course, but very enjoyable. I felt […]

I’m in my thirties and didn’t want to be in a classroom with a mass of 17 yr olds, who were more agile minded than me and would have completely different goals and motivations to me. Actually it turned out the other students in my beginners class ranged from early 20’s to late 40’s, which […]

I was able to arrange my own accommodation in Berlin and so this was where I decided to study. I had two weeks and wanted to improve general language skills – in part to see if I could still learn a language, or if now I’m in my 40’s I’d left it too late. I […]

I’d only learnt German at school so expected it to be very much the same experience at the German language school in Berlin, maybe a bit more intense because German was the only subject being studied. I was pretty nervous before I went. CESA even warn you to expect this in the notes they send […]
