Activities may include shopping in the central market, a cookery or Sevillanas dance class, lunch with a teacher, a visit to the Alcazaba (castle) and the Cathedral or a trip to the botanical gardens. There will also be a full day Saturday excursion i.e. to Granada.
On the first day all students take part in a short oral and written assessment to assess your linguistic level, followed by a tour of Malaga by coach before classes begin (the same day). At very busy times of the year, lessons may not start until Tuesday, in order to assess all the new students arriving on Monday before classes are assigned, but this only really likely during the peak summer months.
The college is located up a steep hill and there are number of steps from the pavement to climb. If you have any difficulties with walking, please discuss this with CESA before booking.
You are welcome to stay with local Spanish hosts (arranged by the school accommodation officer) or in the on site college residence (which offers a variety of room sizes to suit all budgets, all with en suite bathrooms).
Arrive: Sunday PM
Depart: Saturday AM
Students fly to Malaga’s Pablo Picasso International airport and then take a taxi or the college arranged transfer service to the college (the trip takes around 20 minutes). Public transport in Malaga is good value for money, efficient (allowing for traffic congestion) and easy to tackle even if this is your first visit to Spain.
