If you are looking for a 1 week+ total immersion Spanish course, living with Spanish hosts by the coast, this Spanish course is ideal. The perfect course for those looking to revise their general Spanish language courses. Emphasis is placed on oral skills and developing higher levels of confidence.
The college is aware that the students are on holiday so whilst students are immersed in daily Spanish life, speaking Spanish with native Spanish speaking teachers, there are also college monitors in Benalmadena who help organise the social activities each week and share their time with the international students.

Public holidays: 30 Mar ’18. No lessons will be held, a full day guided excursion is arranged instead
In total there are 30 language lessons over 2 weeks (unless a day is lost to a public holiday, in which case a group excursion is arranged instead).
This is equal to a term of contact lessons at most UK schools and you are immersed in Spain, speaking Spanish with native Spanish speaking teachers and the group leaders (who help organise the social activities each week).
Morning studies revolve around formal classroom study based on modern teaching methods combined with project work and various social activities to introduce the students to Spanish culture and lifestyle.
If you want to learn Spanish with other teenagers in a beautiful, sunny and charming Andalucian town, Benalmadena is ideal. Originally a fishing village, it is still a sea of whitewashed little houses with good shops, a wonderful marina and beaches just a short walk away. It is within easy reach by air from Malaga and greatly appeals to our younger language students. Spanish lessons are held in a modern state school, within easy reach of the beach.
The college has offered Teenage Spanish language courses for many years now and provides programmes over the Easter and Summer holidays. Lessons are held at the main school site (also used for adult classes). Students always stay with local Spanish hosts. The combination of the Spanish language lessons with a busy activity programme has real appeal! Every morning, from Monday to Friday, students study Spanish in the classroom and then each afternoon are kept busy by the dedicated Spanish group leaders, who organise a range of sporting, social and cultural activities either on site or in the local area. The weekends are dedicated to activities or free time. So if you like to be busy, this is the perfect language course!
A range of activities are offered (all accompanied/supervised by the monitors) in the Spanish programme:
1/ Three afternoons of sports per week: badminton, volleyball, swimming, football, basketball, table tennis etc
2/ Dance classes: Sevillanas, Salsa and other Latino dances
3/ One half day excursion
(Malaga, Marbella, Mijas & Nerja) and one full day excursion (Saturday trips – Granada, Seville, Cordoba or Ronda including entrance fees to any museums or monuments) per week
4/ Three evening activities per week: fancy dress parties, a trip to the open air cinema, bowling, Tivoli World Amusement Park and a disco party once a week.
Full details of each weekly programme is provided on the first Monday,
with timetable, meeting points etc
With local hosts in private households in and around Benalmadena on a full-board basis. Students are housed in shared rooms with another language student (same gender, different nationality, unless you book with a friend).
Lunches are taken with the hosts at the weekend, at the college (hot buffet lunch) in the week or as picnics arranged by your hosts, if on a weekend excursion.
The hosts are generally within a short walk from the language school, but late enrolments may mean students can be up to 30 minutes commute, including a short train journey, from the school.
For 16/17 year olds
The school insists that students respect the following curfews as the LATEST hour by which they must return home: 12 midnight from Sunday to Thursday and 12.30 hrs on Friday and Saturday.
For 13/15 year olds
The school requires that all students stay in, with their hosts after dinner during the week (unless there is a specific school arranged activity that evening). Only at the weekend are students allowed out at night after dinner, and a curfew of Midnight is laid down.
Parents are asked to confirm their agreement to this arrangement and to ensure their child understands and agrees to abide by the curfew.
