If you’re looking for an immersion German language course in combination with a residential experience living lakeside, in easy reach of Berlin and studying with other teenage students, this is the programme for you!

The summer camp is located on one of the beautiful lakes that surround Berlin, in the little village of Blossin. This camp has fantastic water sports facilities – with lots of canoes, sailing boats and surfing equipment. It’s very popular and will become fully booked ~ early reservations are essential!

Course Description

The course aims to stimulate student interest and keep the lessons dynamic. The German language college staff are aware that the students are on holiday and will do all they can to help students enjoy their German experience, both inside and outside the classroom.

The water sports center has a campus with several little houses on it, where students live. The 10 classrooms are in a central building, and there is a cafeteria.

Additional facilities: beach, harbour with boats and nice, little kiosk, surf boards, kayaks, canoes, sailing boats, SUP boards, hall for inline skating, indoor gym, fitness studio, climbing wall, basketball court, beach volleyball fields, soccer field – original size with artificial lawn, sauna, cafeteria, 10 classrooms for German lessons. The programme will become fully booked ~ so please book early!

In total there are 80 lessons over 4 weeks (unless a day is lost to a public holiday). This is equal to two terms of contact lessons at most high schools. Small classes, native speakers, interesting material and a pleasant learning atmosphere all contribute to the learning process. The emphasis is on the active use of language in real situations.

  • All teachers are fully qualified and experienced in the teaching of German as a foreign language
  • Only German will be spoken in class

The college offers accommodation in 2 or 3 bedded rooms with own shower and WC, on site with full board in the cafeteria, and tuition on site.

Meals: Full-board accommodation (breakfast, lunch and the evening meal) is included in the course fees.

Personal Expenditure

We suggest EUR 150.00 per week, to cover public transport and entrance fees, snacks etc

Valuables
We recommend your passport & money are left with college staff at the office.

Going Out Permission

Teenagers aged 12/16 years will be required to respect the school curfew rules.
Students need to be mature about their behaviour to attend this programme.
Any inappropriate behaviour will be reported to the parents concerned.

Travel

Arrive: Sunday   Depart: Sunday a.m.
Fly to Berlin and most students also book the transfer service from Berlin airport, the Hauptbahnhof or main bus station. Students should be in Berlin, at their accommodation, between 09.00 & 17.00 hrs. Please aim to be present on campus at 17.00 hrs – this is when the introductory talk and tests will take place (so no time is wasted on Monday AM)
