Whether you have just a few or several weeks to dedicate to your studies, Shanghai has plenty to offer. Shanghai is the economic heart of China, with a long tradition of western influence and trade. The weather is quite humid and a rainy season is experienced in June.
NB: The Shanghai dialect is different to Mandarin, so the Chinese spoken in the street can’t be understood easily by most foreign students unless they spend a long time in the city, but students love studying here due to openness of the local people and the dynamic nature of the city.
Orion:
The pace was great, lessons didn’t seem too fast, nor too slow. My teachers were awesome and I learned lots of Mandarin as well as Chinese culture. There is a great environment at school. Everyone is friendly and I felt welcomed. My experience has been so positive.
