First Day

Please arrive early (08:00 am) for a school presentation, before you meet your French teacher and start your French language course.  In the afternoon there will be an orientation tour of Montpellier, to acclimatise you to the city. The school staff will show you round the main sights and point out the main useful places you will need to know.

Practical Information

  • If there are insufficient students to form a class level on its own, the school will integrate students into a general Standard Course.
  • The activities offered are held separately from the school’s general social programme, except for the half and full-day excursions (when all language students are welcome to attend).
  • If there are less than 6 students on the programme the Over 50s students will be integrated into the normal social programme offered to all language students.

Accommodation

Montpellier is a large city and students must allow for a commute of approx. 15 to 30 mins to college each morning. We recommend that you stay with local hosts (very good for your French) or in Apartment Hotels offered year round (or you are very welcome to make your own Hotel arrangements). The school offers Student residences (but they will be full of French University students or late teens/early 20s language students, so are not recommended for students on this programme).
