Course Description

The French language college in Antibes/Juan les Pins offers French courses with other teenage language students, who have a similar French language level. Students are immersed in France, speaking French with native French speaking teachers and the “animateurs” (who help organise the social activities each week) and are encouraged to socialise and make the most of their time in France.

Antibes/Juan les Pins offers everything the French language student needs, all the benefits of the Riviera, with the charm of the picturesque streets of Antibes, beaches and some lovely Autumn sunshine (though we can’t always be sure of the weather!) and yet is only 13 km from Nice airport. The college has offered Teenage French language courses for many years and provides programmes over the Easter, half-term and Summer holidays.
During the Autumn, Easter and May & June, the classes are offered at the main school site, so whether living in the residence or with hosts, students will have to commute to the school for their language classes.

The French language lessons are based on current documents of interest to stimulate student interest and to keep the lessons dynamic, such as songs, films, comic strips etc. Social activities provide contrast and bring an additional element of fun to the overall programme.

The French language college staff are aware that the students want to enjoy their time as well as study, and therefore do all they can to ensure students enjoy their French experience, both in and outside the classroom.

The combination of the French language lessons with an activity programme has real appeal! Every morning, from Monday to Friday, students study French in the classroom and then each afternoon are kept busy by the dedicated French group leaders, who organise a range of sporting, social and cultural activities either on site or in the local area. The weekends are dedicated to activities or free time. So if you like to be busy, this is the perfect French language course for you!

When student numbers make it necessary classes will also be offered in the afternoons, with activities arranged in the mornings.

Activities

A range of activities are offered including

1/ a half-day trip
2/ a full day trip and
3/ a weekly barbecue and Friday night party

For a sample schedule please see the PDF download enclosed (top of this page)

Group leaders will arrange evening activities for students in the residence on other nights. Students staying with hosts only join the the BBQ and Friday party, otherwise they have free evenings to share with new friends or spend with their hosts.
Students are advised of the activities and events offered once in France via a notice board in the school, any additional activities are taught through local clubs by certified national qualified instructors.
On the first and last day of your programme no activities take place, as the group leaders are busy helping students on arrival or departure.
