If you want to learn the secrets of fabulous Italian cookery, these courses will be the perfect compliment to your Italian language studies. There are a range of start dates available throughout the year, in different locations. Feel free to talk to the CESA staff to establish which programme best meets your preferences and needs.

Combine your Italian studies with 3 afternoon cookery classes per week, organised locally in Sorrento with a fabulous cook. Discover the dishes of the Campania region, on an Italian gastronomical tour. Each class creates a full meal, which can then be enjoyed together at the end of the lesson. Fabulous fun, but not so good for the waistline!
Saturday Cookery course option
On Saturday AM students shop in the famous Rialto fish and vegetable market, with the cookery teacher and take a local aperitif. Returning to school they prepare and cook the meal together and serve the food, with an excellent selection of regional wines (in total taking around 6 to 7 hrs).
A further day of cooking and cookery history lessons can also take place on Sunday.

Thursday Cookery course option
Each Thursday PM, supervised by a talented cook, in the school’s kitchen, students can prepare traditional local and regional food and then enjoy them with a glass of good wine. Runs from 5.00 pm to approx 8.00 pm (available every Thursday, unless it’s a public holiday).

The course is based one meeting of approx. 3 hours a week and shaped for all potential participants, also for the novice who is interested in learning about cooking. During each lesson the students prepare and cook a different complete menu which consists of typical dishes of Italian cuisine in the tradition of genuine simplicity. At the beginning of each lesson the teacher explains the menu of the day and distributes the work. During the preparation and the cooking of the food, the teacher demonstrates, explains and gives valuable hints and tips. The students prepare the table and dine together. Each student or pair of students presents and serves to the others the dish they have prepared.
This course is organized in such a way that the students can experience with their own hands the way of cooking in the Italian style. Participants receive a recipe book including a vocabulary in several languages.
