A long-term French language course ideal for Gap Year, post Uni or adult students looking to study French in Montpellier, in depth over two months plus, for maximum impact and language progress. Following the same format as the Standard French course butusing the additional course length to develop and refine French language comprehension and expression to ensure maximum linguistic progress.

A short-term French language course in Montpellier aimed at those who need to build on current skills or who want to kick start their French language learning from scratch with an immersion course in France. Taking your current language level into account, your French language course class work will concentrate on broadening your grammar, structure, and vocabulary skills; plus offer intensive training in French oral and written language expression and the study of French culture and civilization.

Short term French language courses aimed at those who need to build on current skills or who want to kick start their French language learning with a course in France.  Students follow the Standard Course French classes with additional small group work for a further 10 lessons per week, to aid linguistic development.

20 French Standard group lessons

PLUS 10 small group lessons per week

Timetable: 9:00 am – 10:30 am / 10:45 am – 12:15 pm
+ 3 afternoons from 1:15 pm – 3:50 pm

A rigorous French language course aimed at students who wish to have a serious Certificate proving their French language ability.  DELF course duration is 6 weeks, but many students study for 12 weeks or even longer (up to 36 weeks) to achieve the required language level on another French group course. The programme builds towards the set exam dates offered each year (contact CESA for exact dates).  The final 6 weeks include general language tuition in the Standard course and additional specific exam preparation.  Any additional weeks booked will consist of general language study following the same format as the Intensive Course. This is the ideal programme for those who wish to enhance their CV for work or academic reasons and need an official exam to prove their French language skills. Most students choose to prepare for the DELF B1, B2 or DALF C1 exams.  The college has always achieved an excellent pass rate for their students and many Academic Year and Languages for Life students will incorporate this exam element into their French studies in Montpellier.

20 French Standard group lessons PLUS two cookery sessions per week at a nearby Cookery School

Timetable: 9:00 am – 10:30 am / 10:45 am – 12:15 pm
+ 2 afternoons from 3:30 pm – 7:00 pm

Discover French gastronomy and make different recipes (dishes and desserts) in small groups. Each session ends with a tasting session of your cooking whilst enjoying a nice glass of local wine.
The Chef will explain the French vocabulary used specifically to cooking, different foods and ingredients used for each recipe and the different cooking utensils used. He will also assist you and give you a few cooking tips!

Good prior knowledge of French is not essential for this programme but is recommended.
