Learn French in Paris (15th District): Accommodation
Paris is fabulous, but as with any capital city it is large, so please allow for a commute of approx. 25 to 50 mins+ to the French language school, each day.
Most students stay with local French hosts, but there are a range of residence options, depending on your budget and adult students may also like to consider a local Hotel.
French Hosts/ess
- Open to 18 yrs + age group
- Single rooms
- Shared rooms (only offered if booking with friends)
- Bed & Breakfast with kitchen access
- Half-board (breakfast & evening meal)
- Generally from 25 to 50 minutes commute to school
NB: 16/17 yr olds can stay with hosts, on request, but not in Hotels, apartments etc. unless with older members of their family.
The French language school has carefully chosen the hosts. They are used to welcoming students and know how to help them familiarize themselves with the French way of life and culture. There will inevitably be a need to commute, on foot and by metro each day, please anticipate a daily journey of 25 to 50 minutes to get to school.
NB: Host availability can run low over the Summer, when Parisians leave for their holidays, but student demand is running high, so early bookings are recommended. Also, early reservations are essential for the residences, especially during the June/September period.
The following options are available:
single room & shared room (couple or friends booking together),
B&B, half-board (breakfast and evening meal) or breakfast & kitchen access
Half-board is a good option to give you better opportunity to practice French outside the classroom, but breakfast and kitchen access is also popular, as it gives students a greater degree of freedom and is kinder on the budget. We only recommend B&B option for short stay, as eating out all the time becomes something of a pain.
Residence options
The school co-operates with several year-round, and summer residence options, which are open to the public.
Students can stay in single occupancy rooms/studios and self-cater.
