The college offers a Residence within a few minutes’ walk of the language school, recently renovated and offering single or shared rooms (and one studio), with a communal room, a large kitchen and bathrooms for both male and female students. The residence is located on the island, so there are no commuting hassles! The student residence greatly appeal to students in their late teens (18 yrs +) and twenties.

The Student House in Lindau is modern and fully equipped. It is a 15-minute walk from the school and located on the mainland, not the island. It offers single and double bedrooms, several bathrooms, a large kitchen with microwave etc., washing machine, living room with satellite TV. The German language school can be reached within a 15 minutes’ walk or students can take bus line 1 or 2 and from the bus stop “Toskanait” it takes just a few minutes to get to the school.

The student residence is in the upper floor of a 3-storey building and has 9 rooms in total (single and double rooms). The rooms are equipped with private washbasins.

The Student Flat is in the same building as the language school, on the island of Lindau. The city centre is only 3 minutes away on foot. The flat is on the second floor and has 3 bedrooms (one single and two double rooms), a kitchen with eating area, a common area and a shared bathroom.

• Max 30 minutes commute to the school
• Single rooms
• Shared rooms (for friends)
• Half-board

Stay with local German hosts, on a half-board basis (breakfast and evening meal) in single or shared rooms. Some hosts are within walking distance, but most are a short bus commute or bike ride away (allow 20/30 mins). This accommodation enables further opportunity to practice the language and to experience a taste of local life.

Experience
Most of the families have hosted students for years and so they understand their experience, likely problems and needs.
They are an important aid in the language learning process and cultural adjustment, especially for the younger students.

Language
Hosts speak clear German and they can offer linguistic support (but aren’t expected to help with home study).

Transfer
Host families pick the student up from the main station on the arrival day.
Students must inform their hosts of their exact date and time of arrival, no later than the Friday before the course starts.

There are several local Hotels, on the island or nearby on the mainland.
Hotels become fully booked for July and August at least 2 months in advance – please book early for the summer.
Hotel accommodation must be arranged directly with the Hotel owners (not via CESA/the school).

Arrive: Sunday PM
Depart: Saturday PM

We recommend students fly to Zurich airport or take the direct train to Lindau, you can also fly to Munich (but it takes longer by train) or fly into Friedrichshafen (with Ryanair) and take a 40-minute train ride to Lindau. You can then take a taxi to your accommodation or if staying with hosts, they will meet you from the station.
Alternatively, we can arrange for you to be collected from one of the airports, at extra cost.
