Learn German in Munich: Accommodation
German language students in Munich can choose to stay right next to the college in the student apartments or student studios, experience sharing daily life with German hosts, by staying with hosts in a private household in Munich. Please be aware that as Munich is a large city, and you should expect a daily commute to college (approx 20/40 mins each way).

Standard Apartment 20yrs+

- Approx 20/30 minutes commute to school
In the student apartments you will share a flat with other students studying at the language school. You have the option to book a twin room (shared with another student, generally of a different nationality) or a single room just for yourself. In both cases, you will share the kitchen and bathroom with fellow students. Facilities include; WiFi/WLAN internet connection, a dishwasher and washing machine. Early reservations for July, August and September are essential, or you will miss out!
A deposit will be required on arrival.
German hosts / Private Household 16yrs+
- Offered to students aged 16 yrs +
- 20/40 minutes commute to school
Students like to stay with German hosts as a way of increasing their opportunities to talk German out of class. The hosts offer single room accommodation on a half-board basis (breakfast and evening meal) or breakfast only basis.
The hosts provide you with a chance to sample German daily life first-hand, however bear in mind Munich is a large city and commuting to college from your host is inevitable (allow 20/40 minutes+ for the one way trip to college). Public transport in the city is well priced, efficient and user friendly but unavoidable in a city of this size.
There is no such thing as a classical “host family”, so your accommodation could be with a traditional family of father, mother, two kids and a dog or a single mother and her child, a single person or a couple. In any case, the school will do all they can to match your needs and interests.
If you have any special requests early reservation for the summer period is essential.
Studio apartments 18yrs+
- Offered to students aged 18 yrs +
- Sole occupancy studios
- 15/25 minutes commute to school
This type of accommodation offers a high standard to those students who would like to have their own private apartment space. There is a fully equipped kitchenette, a private bathroom plus additional amenities.
A deposit is required on arrival.
Travel

We recommend you fly to Munich airport, and then travel by direct train into the centre of the city, from the airport, and then by taxi to your accommodation. Students are welcome to book a transfer service from the airport to their accommodation for an extra charge, which can be very reassuring when arriving for the first time in Munich.
