Learn Italian in Venice: Accommodation
Venice is historic, wonderful and something of a maze! All accommodation offered is in Venice itself, not Mestre which simplifies matters, but please anticipate a 15 to 25 minutes trip to college each day, either on foot (or in part, by water taxi).
Italian hosts/Private households

Italian residence

- Single rooms with private bathroom
- Shared rooms (for friends or couples only)

The residence (just 15/20 mins commute to the Italian language school) offers students a single room with private bathroom each (or shared rooms) in one of the most charming cloisters in the city. Located in an ancient vineyard with hundreds of olive trees, the Cloister is the ideal place if you want to be near the historical centre, in a fashionable area among students and artists, at reasonable cost. Very popular with all language students looking for independent accommodation in easy reach of the main sights of Venice.
Facilities include
- 25+ single rooms with view + bathroom,
- WiFi access,
- use of kitchen and laundry
- comfortable TV rooms and meeting rooms
It is situated on Giudecca a picturesque island in front of the Zattere; a continuous waterbus service links the island to the historical centre and so it can be also reached easily from Piazzale Roma and the railway station.
Italian Hotels
There are a good range of Hotels in Venice, please let us know your preference when booking. Higher standard Hotels are ideal for adults on short term courses, but not recommended for younger students travelling on their own.
Travel
Arrive: Sunday PM
Depart: Saturday PM
We recommend students fly to “Venice Marco Polo” Venice International airport and then take either a bus or shuttle bus, which leave every 30 minutes, or a water taxi to the accommodation.
You are welcome to book a transfer service from the airport with the college at an additional cost.
Please note that in Venice a transfer means: you will be met on arrival at the airport/station and taken by public transport to your accommodation (you will have to carry your own luggage) – they cannot transfer you by car as you would expect in other locations (remember – none can be used in Venice!).
