The course content is the same as for the Standard Course, but the longer duration of the programme ensures more material is covered and better retention of the language skills learnt. You can book a Portuguese language course from one to ten weeks duration (or longer on a Languages for Life course). All four key language skills are covered, and students receive a thorough grounding in grammar etc according to your Portuguese language level, as detailed in the Teaching details. These programmes are aimed at those who need to build on current skills or who want to kick start their Portuguese language learning from scratch with an immersion course in Portugal.

A more intensive Portuguese programme (with additional oral classes). This more demanding Portuguese language course (see Teaching for details) is aimed at those who need to build on current skills or who want to kick start their language learning from scratch with an immersion course in Lisbon, Portugal.
An additional 10 lessons per week are provided in addition to the core Standard Course lessons, and these extra lessons are divided into 5 workshops that concentrate on different topics each day: listening comprehension, conversation skills, grammar drills, vocabulary work and presentations etc

As per the Standard Course plus in addition 5 or 10 surf lessons over 2 weeks (each surf session = approx 2.5 hrs). These PM sessions of surfing are organised with a local professional Surf school in Lisbon, Monday to Friday each week.
Students are driven to and from the beach each day. Surf kit is included. Exact timetable depends on tides and sea conditions and will be determined with the Surf club once in Lisbon.
