    All language students are encouraged to make the most of their time in Cusco, Peru by participating in the guided excursions and activities offered by the Spanish language college. The college offers various events, such as: visits to Inca or Colonial museums, local festivals, Inca art lessons, hiking, soccer games, and barbecues. Half-day and Full-day excursions include such things as a trip to Machu Picchu, or to the mountains.

    Peruvian cooking class: Very popular choice!
    They learn how to cook famous Peruvian dishes like Causa Rellena, Ceviche, Lomo Saltado, Ají de Gallina and that most typical of all traditional drinks in Peru – Pisco Sour.

    Alpaca farm trip
    Take a 20-minute trip outside Cusco and discover the alpaca farm, Awanakancha. Tour around the farm, see the alpacas, visit the on-site museum and learn all about the alpacas and other camelids that were the work horses of Inca and pre-Inca times. You can feed them and learn the process of spinning, dyeing and weaving the much coveted alpaca wool.

    Ceramics workshop
    In the town of Tipón, south of Cusco, discover Anthony’s pottery workshop, an artisan famed for his ceramics, bearing traditional Andean ancestral motifs. Participate in a ceramic workshop activity to learn these techniques for yourself, while painting pottery with Anthony! At the end take your own painted work home with you!

    Horse riding
    Just 10 minutes by car from Cusco city, you can go horse riding, surrounded by the sweeping majesty of  the mountain landscape. Escape the city and classroom for the day and enjoy nature and the open air of the Andes, riding our Peruvian Paso horses, famed mountain horses, renown for the peculiar way of walking (ideal for mountain trails).

    Tambopata Nature Reserve
    Take two full days to explore the rain forest of the Nature Reserve. Explore the surroundings of the famous Sandoval lake, its flora and local fauna. Walk across hanging bridges, among the heights of the tree tops, go zip-lining and kayaking, visit the Island of Monkeys and take a very atmospheric nocturnal walk. The group are housed in an eco-lodge and feed traditional Peruvian rain forest food. An unforgettable experience!

    Lago Titicaca
    Titicaca is the highest navigable lake in the world and is renown for “Los Uros”, the fantastic floating islands, made up of small totora platforms which vividly stand out against the intense blue of the lake. You are taken to Taquil, the largest island of Lago Titicaca (Lake Titicaca). You will climb 533 steps from the shore line, to reach the town of Taquile and Amantaní where the group have the wonderful experience of staying one night with local families.
