Learn Spanish in Cadiz: Accommodation

Cadiz is a lively city and is easy to get around as most accommodation is no more than 30 minutes from the college on foot.

School residence

The residence offers independence in a friendly and multicultural atmosphere. Rooms are offered in a University student residence, hence the summer availability. Sometimes rooms can be offered in June too.

It is located in the heart of the historical and commercial centres of Cadiz. The residence hall is an old building recently renovated, with modern equipment and furniture. It can house about 15 students: 3 double or triple rooms, 4 double rooms and 1 individual room.

The hosts are selected on several criteria: location, quality of the lodging, furniture, equipment and food. Hosts are also selected on the basis of their hospitality and positive feedback from students. Although you will have your own keys to come and go as you please, you will have to respect some rules and schedules, especially for mealtimes.
Meals: Dinners offered on request (but the majority of students book the breakfast/lunch option). If you are following a programme of 25 lessons or more (per week) discuss changing to breakfast and dinner with CESA, as it may be easier for you.

Popular option for those who prefer more independence but still want the contact with Spanish people, out of class. For those who want to immerse in everyday Spanish life and tradition, and enjoy family atmosphere and meals. This option gives you complete freedom and gives you access to all facilities, kitchen, bathroom, etc. This formula is an excellent solution for those looking for independence, but who still wish to practise Spanish at home.

Private Apartments

  • Offered to students aged 18 yrs +
  • Total independence for one or two people
  • July & August are always popular so early bookings recommended
  • One Bedroom Apartment (1-2 people)
  • Two bedroom apartment available upon request
  • End of rental cleaning fee applied to all apartments

All flats are fully furnished and equipped with a living room, bathroom, kitchen and one bedroom. They are all located in the centre of the city. Private apartment, fully equipped with one (or two) bedroom/s, living room, bathroom and TV. All expenses such as water and electricity included up to 50 € / month. Bed linen and towels provided.

Jerez Airport:

Students can fly to Jerez airport and take a taxi, bus or college arranged transfer to their accommodation. The transfer service is at additional cost to your accommodation (one or two way service offered). The airport nearest Cadiz is the Jerez Airport (35 kilometers away). It is the airport that services Cadiz and the Costa de la Luz. It is a small airport (much smaller in comparison with the airports of Madrid or Malaga).

Travelling from Jerez airport to Cadiz is straight forward

1/ Take a taxi. It will cost around €50.
It is a 30 to 40-minute ride from Jerez airport to Cadiz.

2/ Take the bus. It will cost around €3.00.
The M-050 and M-051 buses to Cadiz run all day, 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
The bus ride usually runs for 1 hour, 15 minutes.

3/ Take the train. The airport is around 8km out of the city centre, so you can take a bus or taxi into Jerez. From central Jerez the trip is just over 30 minutes, and approximately € 11.00 each way.

4/ Take the college arranged Transfer Service.

Seville Airport:

The second nearest airport is at Sevilla, 130 kilometers away.
Seville airport is a major airport and has direct flights to major international cities.

Independent travel: From Seville Airport by train, you would take the free shuttle service from the Airport to the train station & then a train to Cadiz. There are a good selection of trains – and the trip is only approx 1.5hrs.
From: Sevilla (Santa Justa) To: Cadiz (Cadiz-Termino)
Seville Airport by bus to Cadiz: You would have to take a taxi from the airport to the bus station, before travelling onto Cadiz. It will take longer than the train to reach Cadiz.

Malaga Airport:

The largest airport in southern Spain.

It is located a good 2 hrs travel from Cadiz.
Please note the group shuttle service is available from mid June to early August each year and ONLY on SUNDAYS
Independent travel from Malaga to Cadiz is not recommended – there is no direct bus or train (so you have to go via Seville, which is a long trek).
