The Languages for Life Spanish language course in Malaga, follows the same format as the Standard Spanish programme, but the longer duration of course ensures greater fluency, better language comprehension and expression.

This Spanish language course is offered across six language levels, for beginners looking to learn Spanish in Malaga from scratch, right the way through to very advanced speakers at C1 level on the CEF scale of language ability. The Intensive Spanish language course in Malaga, builds on the Standard programme, with additional small group classes of up to 6 students concentrating on oral communication skills, to further enhance the learning process.

This long term Spanish language course in Malaga (ideally suited to meet the needs of Gap Year students) allows students to gain in depth knowledge of both the Spanish language and Spanish culture over a full academic year – a two term course of intensive language study, which includes the opportunity to prepare for and sit the DELE Intermedio exam, (DELE exam fees at additional cost) and takes beginners in the Spanish language through to intermediate/advanced levels.

In Term II the language lessons are offered in combination with cultural studies; History, Art Literature, Geography, Social and Political Institutions in Spain to provide a fully rounded knowledge of modern day Spain’s cultural context. Those who complete the full course are awarded a College Diploma, certifying their achieved language level.

Students are welcome to enrol for just the first or second term, depending on language level, if they cannot find time to follow the full Academic Year course.

Combine your Standard language course with two dance classes a day, Monday to Friday. Dance is a fundamental part of Andalucian and Hispanic culture in general. With a large and well-equipped dance studio, the Spanish language school in Malaga is ideally placed to offer programmes of Spanish combined with Dance.

• Flamenco

an introduction to the world of Flamenco via Sevillanas, Rumbas and other typical Flamenco dance styles

Dance classes are held in the on site dance studio (air conditioned) with professional Flamenco/Sevillanas or Salsa dance teachers. A full fortnight can be spent studying ONE of these dances. NB: If there are 3 or less students enrolled on a particular start date (unlikely but possible) dance lessons will be reduced accordingly.

Combine your Standard language course with a chance for some hands on exploration of Andalucian/Mediterranean cuisine.
Spanish course methodology. This programme is designed for people with a serious interest in food and cooking and who want to find out about Spanish Cookery and learn Spanish in Malaga. Students on this course are improving their current Spanish or learning the language as a beginner. It is a combination of the Standard course of 4 lessons a day of Spanish at all levels with 2 cookery afternoons a week and other activities related to food and wine.

The course includes

Spanish language course: 4 lessons per day of general Spanish at all levels from beginner upwards
2 cookery lessons each week: Each lesson will comprise a brief introductory talk and the preparation of a complete menu
2 dinners per week, including wine: the participants enjoy a meal with the teacher
1 cultural talk per week on gastronomy topics: in Spanish of course!
Cookery course textbook: an illustrated recipe book including the most famous Spanish dishes.
A cook’s apron: a stylish apron to use during the course and to take home
1 local visit: a visit to a place of gastronomic interest in Malaga

Specifically aimed at DELE exam preparation
Levels offered: A2, B1, B2
Exams held in May, August or November each year

This course is designed for the student who wants to study for the official, government recognised DELE examinations in Spanish as a foreign language in Malaga. It is a 4 week course dedicated to preparation for the examination. For students who already have the required level of Spanish, this programme can be taken as an independent 4-week course. Otherwise students study general Spanish for several weeks or even months in Malaga to achieve the required level to sit the DELE exams.

DELE preparation courses offered at A2, B1 and B2 levels.

The Spanish language school in Malaga currently do not offer DELE preparation courses for A1, C1 or Superior. For A1, any student having completed our level A1 (modules 1-3) should be able to pass the exam with no further preparation than a couple of mock exams in the Study Centre. For C1 & Superior (C2) we may consider creating group courses if there is sufficient demand or otherwise will prepare individual students in 1-1 lessons.

Enrolling for the exam is the responsibility of each student but we will help with the paperwork and other administrative details. You should note that the deadline is usually at least 4 weeks prior to the exam.

An extremely intensive Spanish language course, ideal for those who wish to make maximum language progress over a one or two+ week period. This is the most intensive and personalised type of Spanish language course: tailored to a client’s needs and learning style. While this type of course tends to attract business executives and diplomats, it can be equally appropriate for anyone who needs to improve their Spanish for a highly specific purpose: a school/university examination, a teacher switching to teach Spanish etc. The teaching materials while based on the textbooks published by the Spanish language school in Malaga, and can also draw on specialised materials from the clients specific field of interest. In addition, the teaching methodology can also be adapted to the client’s preferred method of learning.
