Learn Russian in Riga: Social Life
All students are encouraged to make the most of their time in Riga by participating in the guided activities offered by the college. The college arranges activities every week. Each weekend (if there are a minimum of 4 participants) they take you out for a full-day excursion around Riga and its surroundings.
There is a regular city tour for new students, so that new students have the chance to get to know each other. All excursions are accompanied by a college guide and are at additional cost.
Regular events and visits to places of local interest in Riga will be arranged by the school staff, some are free and for others a charge will be made (allow approximately EUR 15 – 90.00 per event). The activities offered are explained to students once at the language school. During the colder months students enjoy cultural activities indoors, once the weather improves events tend to take place outside – walking tours, river trips, exploration of museums, a vodka evening at the school, day trips at the weekend.
Please note: Visits will only take place if enough students are interested.
