Students are taught by Japanese native speaking teachers, who are trained to teach to foreign nationals. The experience is shared with other language learners from around the world, who share the same passion for Japanese! Most teenage students come out in June to August to improve their Japanese language skills, enjoy a summer holiday in these fabulous cities; soak up the Japanese culture and share the experience with other teenage students. |

Most teenagers are beginners or have a low Japanese language level, and can be placed together in a group class, but this is not always possible, and in some instances, students will be placed in an adult group class, to ensure they are learning Japanese at the correct level. There are around 10/15 teenagers present each week, June to August.
Students will live in host accommodation in Fukuoka, Tokyo or Kyoto, but also have the option of staying in a supervised residence in Fukuoka. Accommodation is specifically chosen for ease of access to the school by public transport (but commuting by public transport will be necessary) and there is always Teenage student supervision during the activities.
Please note there are no dedicated teenage monitors with the students 24/7, so any teenager wishing to join this programme will need to be fairly independent.

Course fees include: 20 Japanese classes plus activities, each week plus Saturday activities with a guide, 2 way airport transfer and accommodation with half-board
The Japanese language course is purely communication orientated, ideal for those who wish to study key grammar and conversation skills of the language, but don’t require in-depth study. Classes are made up of 2 lessons of grammar and 2 lessons of conversation per day, with the focus on real-life skills. Learn common sentence patterns and vocabulary with your teacher and use them in practical situations both in and out of the classroom.
We anticipate 4 to 8 students per class, occasionally rising to 9 students in some classes in July/August.
If a student is the only person at his/her Japanese ability level, the Japanese school will provide reduced private classes for them.
The Japanese Group Course uses interesting and modern materials and activities to focus on improving your Japanese speaking ability in a way that gives you the flexibility to adapt to new situations, until the day you won’t even need a teacher anymore!
Levels offered: Beginner level 1, Beginner level 2, Pre-intermediate level, Intermediate level, Advanced level

A welcoming atmosphere in the school
