The Malaga Spanish language school is set in self-contained grounds; 15 minutes from the centre of Malaga by bus and only 5/7 minutes on foot from the nearest beaches. It is located up in the hills, within easy walking distance down to the seafront shops, cafes and long, sandy beaches.
The school offers a fabulous campus environment.
On site campus facilities include: a mini-campus with modern classrooms (air con), library, an excellently stocked and managed multimedia room, wifi, a purpose built dance and exercise room, a cosy cinema room, 24/7 manned reception, a restaurant and bar, an outdoor swimming pool (open May to October), sun terraces and a laundry.
The Spanish language school provides a first class study environment whereby students can follow a Spanish course with other teenagers of their own age, who are at a similar level of Spanish ability.
This Spanish language school operates as a year round language centre and caters for adult language learners as well as 15/20 year old students.
Malaga is an amazing Spanish city, set on the Mediterranean coast and has something to please everyone.
The city is very dynamic; the seaside promenade and beach area is alive with restaurants, pizzerias and cafes, the city centre offers both historic and modern Spanish cultural gems (the Pompidou Centre, Picasso Museum and Centro de Arte Contemporáneo, or the Cathedral, Atarazanas market or Castillo de Gibralfaro) for students to explore. The college is close to it all, yet is set in a quiet residential area up in the hills, perfect for study.
The language school is within easy reach by air from Malaga and greatly appeals to teenage students.
Past students have very much enjoyed the chance to practise their Spanish in this city and loved the social environment offered by the course, with its international mix of students.
On site residence: 16 yrs+
The language school is based on a campus residence and offers a modern, pleasant living and study environment that everyone loves.
All bedrooms (single, shared or multiple) have a (small) private bath or shower room, safe, telephone and wifi and include a cleaning service All bedrooms are equipped with single beds, a wardrobe and a desk (no air con, but fans can be hired).
Students generally buy meals as they go. Breakfast, lunches and evening meals are available on site but meals are frequently taken at one of the many cafes/restaurants along the promenade. Board can be paid for in advance, if preferred.
There are plenty of 16/22 year old students studying at the language school, especially during the summer months and the campus accommodation comes highly recommended by CESA staff and past Spanish Teenage Course students. NB: There will also be adult language students living and studying on site at the same time.
Hosts: 15 yrs+
With local hosts in their homes (people tend to live in apartments in Malaga) in and around the eastern residential area of the city.
Board is offered on a breakfast & lunch basis (lunch being the main meal of the Andalucian day). Evening meals are offered at the language school or at one of the many cafés/restaurants along the promenade.
The hosts are generally within a short walk (or bus ride) from the college, allow 15/25 minutes for the morning commute. Students are housed in single or shared rooms (with another language student).
For students aged 15 to 20 years old.
Participants on the Spanish Teenage Programme are not given a curfew, however the hosts and residence staff are asked to report any inappropriate behaviour to the college, who will forward it on to the student’s parents.
Please note this college also offers adult programme throughout the summer.
A code of conduct relating to Under 18 year olds is detailed in the Briefing Pack, issued once a student is enrolled.
