Learn French in Bordeaux: Accommodation
Accommodation is offered in and around the city of Bordeaux. Allow between 15 and 40 minutes for your daily commute to the French language school.

French hosts/ess

- Generally 20-45 minute commute by public transport to school
Staying with local French hosts is a great way to really immerse yourself in the French lifestyle and experience the French language in daily use. Students can book a single room with hosts, either with half-board (breakfast and the evening meal), a breakfast only basis (with kitchen access).
Special dietary needs can be catered for on request (at a supplement). This applies to vegan, gluten free, lactose free etc requirements.
You can pay a little more for hosts/ess less than 30 minutes by public transport from the school (assuming availability).
Hosts with a private bathroom are also offered (limited options available).
Year round residence accommodation

- 25 minute commute by direct tram line to the city centre and the school
The year round residences are locate in the Maritime district. One is offered for a minimum rental period of 4 weeks from January to May and September to December each year and from June to August for one week+ rentals. The second residence is offered for one week+, throughout the year.
Studio rooms in this modern, comfortable residence includes a double bed or twin beds, a desk, and separate shower and wc, kitchen, bed linen and towels, self-service laundry and private parking.
ApartHotel accommodation
- Offered to students aged 18 yrs+
- Single studios
- Self-catering
- 15 minute commute by direct tram line to the city centre and the school
The ApartHotel offers fully furnished studios, in the central Chartrons district, near the Cite du Vin and the Gare Saint-Jean.
Each studio has a double or twin bed, living room with a desk plus a kitchenette and bed linen. Wifi is free. Breakfast or parking are available for an extra fee.

Travel direct to Bordeaux:
Fly to Bordeaux’s International airport or take the train from the UK by Eurostar via Lille and Poitiers.
It is important that your hosts know your arrival time, ideally around 17/19.00 hrs, but other times can be accommodated with advanced notice.
Taxi transfer from airport or train station: Can be booked at extra cost.
