Nerja, only 50 km from Malaga, is a lively and very attractive seaside town with fantastic cliff top views overlooking the Mediterranean. Most of the year, the town benefits from a quiet pace of life and offers a tranquil environment. In the summer season the town is lively, the weather hot and the sea warm! Past CESA students have loved learning Spanish in Nerja whatever the time of year.
Home to some 20,000 inhabitants and famed for its promontory, the Balcon de Europa, which offers panoramic views out to sea, Nerja has enormous appeal for language students of all ages.
This coastal resort offers an average year round temperature of 20 o C and some very picturesque coastline. The beaches, restaurants and tapas bars of Nerja are all within a short walk of the college and the accommodation offered to students, making a programme in Nerja the perfect antidote to those who view commuting as a nightmare. With the opportunity to explore the nearby prehistoric Caves, some of the local Pueblos Blancos such as Frigiliana or if you wish to travel further afield, Granada, Malaga or Cordoba.
