Learn French in Rouen: Social Life
All students are encouraged to make the most of their time in Rouen by participating in the guided excursions and activities offered by the college. The wide range of attractions – day or night – in the city ensures Rouen is a stimulating and provocative backdrop for your experience of France and French life.
The French Language College in Rouen organise guided visits to local sites of interests, companies, institutions, cinemas, theatres as well as local producers of regional specialities to enhance your course experience.
Typical half day and evening activities (at additional cost) are:
Visit to Rouen’s museums
Cookery sessions (learn to make perfect croissants, macaroons or bagettes)
Visits to local radio and TV stations
Visits to local institutions such as local government authorities
Visits to Rouen’s horticultural gardens and other sights
Sporting activities such as swimming or skating
Theatre and cinema evenings
Restaurant evenings
Typical full day Saturday activities (at additional cost) are outings to:

The French language school in Rouen regularly arrange excursions on Wednesdays and Saturdays, but in addition hold a range of events each week to ensure everyone gets the most from their time in France.
There is a “Conversation Club” each Monday (where new and current students can mingle, chat in French and the club is supervised by a french teacher, to ensure everyone is practising their French). A great way to put your French into practise in an informal setting!
Each Tuesday a Film Club is offered at the college – so you can enjoy some of the great and the latest French movies with other students at the school.
Thursday afternoon DELF/DALF students have their exam preparation session or students who are due to leave this weekend take a final test to determine their new language level, at the end of their course.
On Friday a Farewell Party is held at the college, for students due to leave on Saturday morning.
