A short term Spanish language course aimed at those who want the combined study experience of the camaraderie of the group course, with the individual attention of the private classes with a personal tutor. The course enables students to follow the Spanish Standard course, but then extend their language studies in Cuenca each day with a personal tutor who can address individual areas of interest or concern i.e. prior to academic exams or to improve particular skills for business situations. They are generally short term Spanish language courses aimed at beginners and those who wish to build on current skills on a taster course of one week, or a more substantial course of two weeks or longer.

A perfect combination of language study and craft based activity; build on your current Spanish language skills in Cuenca in combination with the chance to study arts and crafts with local professionals, in their workshops. Visit traditional and contemporary artists and local craft markets and experience the daily life of artisans in Cuenca, first hand.

Cuenca is a city with an important tradition in both traditional crafts and contemporary arts and the Arts & Crafts program is based on this unique feature. Students receive hands-on training in traditional crafts such as weaving, hand crafted and wheel-turned pottery and basketry. This programme is aimed at students who, in addition to the Spanish and culture lessons, are searching for ways of self-expression and leisure.

Materials required are charged for once in Cuenca. A list will be provided on the first day.
